UND student troupe to present musical theatre cabaret

Members of UND's Department of Theatre Arts will perform music from popular Broadway shows at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Empire Arts Center.

The performance, directed by associate professor Emily Cherry, will feature soloists and small groups who comprise the Northern Lights International Touring Company. Voice instructor for the group is Titus Kautz, a member of UND theatre arts faculty.

Since February, the company has been visiting schools in the region, conducting master classes on movement and acting and giving performances to generate interest in UND's theatre arts programs.

"This is the culmination of our tour," said Brett Olson, instructor of movement in UND's Theatre Arts Department.

UND student members of the company are Cole Bakke, Chloe Bellione, Erin Chaves, Robert Cooper, Karter Dolan, Veronica Fokedahl, Katie Germain, Amaya Grant, Taylor Jung, Kyle Mason, Tanner Sabol, Bethany Springs, Matt Stavens and Gina Uhlir.

Tickets for the show are $15 for adults and $10 for students.

The Empire Arts Center is located at 415 DeMers Ave.
