It's Always Sunny in North Dakota? Show may give state more love
North Dakota may be getting some love from the FXX series "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." The show's character Dennis, played by Glenn Howerton, left Paddy's Pub at the end of season 12 to father a child he had with a woman in North Dakota.
The show had a short hiatus, but Season 13 will highlight Dennis' shift to fatherhood in the Peace Garden State... maybe. Howerton's participation in the show has been in question during the hiatus.
According to an interview with Uproxx.com in March, Howerton said he was unsure about the return of Dennis.
"It's not entirely certain whether I am or am not. I might be. I might be, but I might not be. That really is the truth. I'm certainly staying open to the possibility of doing more, but there is a possibility that I will not."
Co-star Kaitlin Olson then excited fans in April when she said that Howerton would return in an interview with The Wrap.
"I do know that Glenn Howerton is coming back for some episodes, I don't know the specifics, but I do know how he's being introduced back in, and it is absolutely hilarious."
Howerton quickly dashed fans hopes in his tweet correcting her.
Whether Howerton returns to the screen in "Always Sunny" or not, North Dakota will be getting some attention in the 13th season starting Sept. 5.
