The UND Wind Ensemble will present a free concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, in the Chester Fritz Auditorium, 3475 University Ave.

The featured artist will be saxophonist Zachary Fischer, a UND senior who is majoring in music education. He will perform “Arioso and Presto,” a contemporary work for alto saxophone and band by James Barnes.

The concert will also be live-streamed on the UND Music Department website, Click on “Live Stream.”

The Wind Ensemble, conducted by James Popejoy, UND professor of music, will feature a performance of Percy Grainger’s “Lincolnshire Posy” and Hungarian composer Bela Keler’s “Lustspiel.”

Also on the program are “Butterflies and Bees!,” by Thomas Duffy, and “Metroplex: Three Postcards from Manhattan,” by Robert Sheldon. A UND graduate student conductor, Juanita Caballero, will lead the ensemble in a performance of “Fandango,” by Frank Perkins.
