Two more backyard concerts are planned for 7 p.m. on Friday and Monday, July 16 and 19, in the Grand Cities.

Friday’s concert will be held at 1119 Sunset Drive, the home of Betty Bloomquist, in Grand Forks. It will feature modern songs with violin, cello and guitar, said Tamara Bertram, who arranges for the concerts. A violinist, Bertram will be performing with David Hysjulien, the music teacher at Midway Public School, and Alexandra Lieb, who plans to pursue her master’s degree in cello performance at UND this fall.

On Monday, the concert will feature Irish music at the home of Treasure Omdahl, 2015 10th St. SE, East Grand Forks. The musicians, Gretta, Ella and Reuben Pratt and Vedant and Surya Srivastava, are violin and guitar students of Bertram.

The events are free.

Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
