MINOT, N.D. — The Minot Chamber Chorale announced it is accepting entries from all North Dakota high school students for their first poetry contest.
The theme of the contest is "life and love in the time of COVID-19." The author of the winning poem will receive a $150 prize in addition to having their writing adapted to music by artistic director Dr. Emerson Eads and premiered at the Minot Chamber Chorale's fall concert. The winner will be invited to the fall concert.
Poems can be of any style or genre but cannot exceed 130 words. The Minot Chamber Chorale requests that all entries include the author's first and last name, phone number, age, grade in school, name of their high school and a profile photo. The winner must consent to release publishing and recording rights to the Minot Chamber Chorale.
Entries must be submitted via email to email@example.com by midnight, June 1. The winner will be announced June 15.
