KARLSTAD, Minn. — It's been almost exactly a month since Karlstad singer-songwriter Dariann Leigh attended the Midwest CMA Awards. Since then, the 20-year-old hasn't slowed down.
Thursday, March 12, Leigh is sharing a premiere of her brand new music video exclusively with WDAY, titled "Wherever I Go".
"I chose to go with WDAY viewers because these are my people. It's close to home, and the support I've had here has been incredible," Leigh said. "Everything about this decision was so easy to make. It feels right, it feels like home."
While the video is new to her fans, it's been a long time in coming for Leigh.
"I'm feeling really excited; we filmed this video in Las Vegas in December, so I've been keeping it a secret for a while now," she explained. "I'm beyond ready to let everyone see what I was up to during my time there."
In February, First News Anchor Sarah Rudlang sat down with Leigh in the singer-songwriter's hometown of Karlstad.
Her passion for music led to two Midwest CMA nominations: New Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year for her song "Give Me a Minute."
Leigh currently splits her time between Karlstad and Nashville, where she works with a band recording on music row.
