A rock music group, Snake Oil, will be the headline attraction Aug. 22 during Ox Cart Days in Crookston, organizers have announced.
The group is known for its “impeccable ability to impersonate ‘80s and ‘90s rock stars musically and visually, with spectacular costumes, hilarious audience interaction and an array of incredible special effects,” promoters say.
The Snake Oil cast of performers portrays entertainers, such as Kiss, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Queen, Ozzy Osbourne, Heart, Joan Jett, Cheap Trick, Van Halen, Pat Benetar and Guns ‘n’ Roses.
“Snake Oil’s musical cast not only looks like the rock stars they portray, but they use their own natural voices to perfectly impersonate the singing and speaking voices and stage mannerisms of these rock icons,” says Howard Pitch Entertainment, Snake Oil’s agent.
Their music reflects “the costumed and propped rock show that filled and shook the arenas and stadiums of the world -- the hair rock, melodic rock and classic rock you love, fueled by energy, fun and sprinkled with humor,” promoters say. The over-the-top theatrics are complemented with illusions and video support.
Snake Oil has shared the concert stage with The Beach Boys, Whitesnake, Starship, Cheap Trick, Blue Oyster Cult and Rick Springfield.
