The classic rock band Cheap Trick is scheduled to perform June 17 in the Alerus Center Ballroom, the center has announced.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and will be available at the Alerus Center box office, online at www.Ticketmaster, or by calling 800-745-3000.

The pop rock ‘n’ roll band has released three albums in the past three years, “Bang Zoom Crazy … Hello,” “We’re All Alright!” and “Christmas Christmas.”

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, the band is known for classic tunes including “Surrender,” “Dream Police” and “I Want You To Want Me.”

Its 2017 hit single “Long Time Coming” had an unprecedented run of 18 weeks at No. 1 on the Mediabase Classic Rock chart.   

Cheap Trick, which has given more than 5,000 performances worldwide in past 40-plus years, has received more than 40 international gold and platinum certifications.
