ST. PAUL-Two very different Minnesota bands - Trampled by Turtles and Hairball - join country group Old Dominion as the final three acts to headline the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand.

Tickets go on sale Friday and are available online through Etix and by phone at 800-514-3849: Old Dominion (Aug. 29; $48-$25; on sale at 10 a.m.), Hairball (Sept. 1; $15; on sale at 11 a.m.) and Trampled by Turtles (Aug. 25; $35; on sale at noon). The State Fair's ticket office will also open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday for in-person purchases.

Trampled by Turtles formed in Duluth in 2003 and quickly found a following in bluegrass circles and, increasingly, among indie rock fans. They'll be joined at the Fair by Lord Huron and Lissie.

Tribute band Hairball celebrate all things arena rock with a repertoire that includes Kiss, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey and Aerosmith. The group's live shows include lights, video screens, smoke, fire, confetti and other trappings of the genre. They've even been known to honor the late Prince.

The members of Old Dominion have written songs for pretty much everyone in Nashville, including Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, Tyler Farr, the Band Perry, Blake Shelton, Chris Young, Craig Morgan and Dierks Bentley. They're currently on tour opening for Kenny Chesney, who invited the band back onstage to join him Saturday night at Minneapolis' U.S. Bank Stadium to perform his hit "Save it for a Rainy Day," which was penned by Old Dominion's Matthew Ramsey and Brad Tursi. Morgan Evans is also on the bill at the Grandstand.

The rest of the Grandstand lineup includes: Niall Horan with Maren Morris (Aug. 23); Sugarland with Frankie Ballard and Lindsay Ell (Aug. 24); Earth, Wind and Fire with Sinbad (Aug. 26); the Beach Boys with the Righteous Brothers (Aug. 27); Jason Mraz with Brett Dennen (Aug. 28); Impractical Jokers (Aug. 30); 311 and the Offspring with Gym Class Heroes (Aug. 31); the Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Contest Finals (Sept. 2); and Culture Club and the B-52s with Tom Bailey (Sept. 3).
