The Northwest Minnesota Arts Council is seeking submissions for an upcoming show, “Miniature Magnificence: A Tiny Art Exhibit,” at its gallery at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls.
The deadline to submit photo images is Saturday, May 1. Student art is welcome.
The show will feature folk art and fine craft that are “small and interesting,” according to a news release from the council.
The art should be 4-by-4 inches or smaller, with an emphasis on, but not limited to, folk arts. It can include fabric art, 3D art, pottery, paintings, pencil, pen and ink, sculpture, mixed media and other pieces.
The tiny art show will run from mid-May through most of the summer at the NWMAC Gallery at NCTC. The exact dates of the show will be announced later.
Artists who reside in the council’s service region are eligible to send in submissions. The region covers the counties of Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake and Roseau.
