The Empire Arts Center has named Madeline (Maddie) Sharpe as its new program manager.
Maddie Sharpe, a native of Fargo, returns to the Empire Arts Center as program manager, building on five years of involvement in the Empire’s administration and programming. She graduated from NDSU in 2016 with a BFA in musical theater and BS in music.
“The Empire has been integral to my theatrical and musical development. I have a passion for arts administration and am honored to be working at the Empire, an arts program I have loved for years,” said Sharpe, who previously worked as an Empire house manager.
Sharpe will oversee all aspects of the Empire Arts Center’s programming, including the Empire Theatre Company, The 1919 Lounge and the Flashback Film series.
“Maddie has been part of the Empire family for several years working in various capacities, and I am excited that she is joining us full-time to manage our in-house programming,” said Debra Pflughoeft-Hassett, executive director of the Empire Arts Center. “I’m confident that her energy and experience will facilitate growth in our programming both in scope and excellence.”
Beyond programming, Sharpe’s duties will include box office, events management and marketing assistance.
