The American Legion celebrated a century of service on Saturday. A day-long centennial celebration, "Patriotism in the Park," began with a parade with classic cars, first responders, military vehicles and motorcycle clubs as Legion members, family and friends gathered at Williamson Park in Grand Forks.

“Without (service men and women) we wouldn’t have the freedom we have. Freedom is not free and that’s what this is all about today,” said John Gustafson, a Navy and Air National Guard veteran.
