Vein-Jackson
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vein, Grand Forks, ND, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth to John Alex Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Larry Jackson, West Columbia, SC.
Laura is a graduate of Red River High School (Grand Forks, ND). She earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design & New Art Media from the University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, ND) and a certificate in Baking & Pastry from the Culinary Institute of Charleston at Trident Technical College (Charleston, SC). She currently teaches baking & pastry courses at the Culinary Institute of Charleston.
Alex is a graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School (Cayce, SC). He earned a Bachelors of Science in Aeronautics from the University of North Dakota (Grand Forks, ND). He is currently a flight instructor in southwest Texas.
A May 18, 2012, wedding will take place at First Baptist Church in Charleston, SC, with a reception following at the William-Aiken House.
