Wisconsin man dies after Harley hits deer
A 50-year-old man died Monday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a deer near Somerset, Wis.
Craig Vick, of Osceola, Wis., was riding a 2004 Harley Davidson east on Polk St. Croix Road at about 4:15 p.m. when he struck a deer about a mile east of Wisconsin 35. Vick was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the St. Croix County sheriff's office.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.
This is St. Croix County's fourth traffic fatality of the year. It remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
