The Altru Family YMCA is conducting a silent auction Monday, May 3, through 8 p.m. May 12, to raise funds for its financial scholarship assistance program for youth, individuals and families in need.
The annual auction is live online. Photos, details and bidding opportunities can be found at https://www.32auctions.com/YMCA2021. Items may also be viewed at the YMCA, 215 N. 7th St.
Items, packages and services include clothing, golf, tools, outdoor fun and more, said Patti McEnroe, the facility’s membership and marketing director.
The list of donors includes bars and restaurants, a garden center, country clubs, sporting goods retailers, a meat store, an auto repair shop, a music store, a pet day care, movie theater complex, a house-cleaning service, motels and many others.
At the YMCA, no one is turned away due to lack of financial resources, McEnroe said.
The Y’s Partner of Youth financial scholarship program provides assistance for “(people) in our community to participate in vital programs and services such as child care, swim lessons, day camps, fitness programs, and a healthy and safe place to spend time and be active,” she said. “When we come together to support our neighbors in their time of need, we help make our community stronger.”
