The Grand Forks Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase is planned for Friday through Sunday, Nov. 6-8, at the Alerus Center.
The annual event, sponsored by the North Dakota Department of Agriculture and the Bank of North Dakota College SAVE Plan, is free and open to the public.
Showcase hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to visit and purchase items at more than 125 vendor booths, which feature products by Pride of Dakota members. Products include gourmet food, art, books, jewelry, sporting goods, home decor, apparel, children and pet items.
Guests will enter through Door 1 at the Alerus Center. There will be one-way directional traffic, marked on the floor. Guests will exit through Door 6.
Vendors will be spaced at least 15 to 20 feet apart in a single line, rather than the usual back-to-back, so each booth has two shopping sides instead of one. All vendors will be gloved and many will have Plexiglas shields or sneeze guards in place.
Food samples will not be set out in a smorgasbord style, as seen in the past, but will be distributed on request in individual cups.
Vendors and Pride of Dakota staff will wipe down and sanitize frequently touched spaces, and Alerus staff will sanitize doors, bathrooms and other spaces. Hand-sanitizer stations will be located throughout the showcase area. Mask-wearing and social-distancing is encouraged.
This is the third Pride of Dakota Showcase event this fall; others have been held in Dickinson and Jamestown. Another is planned in early December in Bismarck.
The Alerus Center is located at 1200 S. 42nd St.
