Rainy weather subsided in time for the annual Sertoma Fireworks Show to go on as planned Saturday, July 4, in Grand Forks.

The show lasted approximately 20 minutes and was held at the Scheel's Sports Complex in south Grand Forks, in the neighborhood of South Middle School. Temperatures were in the mid-70s during the show.

Saturday was a mix of extremes -- rainy weather throughout the morning, sunny most of the afternoon but more rain early in the evening. Throughout the day, Grand Forks received nearly an inch of rain and, for a brief time during the morning, some small hail.
