There have been a lot of Hollywood personalities who have either come from or lived in the state of Minnesota for a period of time, most notably Judy Garland and Prince. However, a few other celebrities who have ties to the Land of 10,000 Lakes are ones you may not have even thought about. Here are five famous people who had some kind of relationship with Minnesota that may surprise you.

F. Scott Fitzgerald

F. Scott Fitzgerald was an author who was born in St. Paul. Fitzgerald didn’t stay in Minnesota long, as he only attended St. Paul Academy until he was 13, then he moved to New Jersey to pursue a career in writing. As an author, he wrote classic novels such as “The Great Gatsby” and “Tender is the Night.” He married Zelda Fitzgerald in 1920 and lived in Hollywood until his death in 1940.

Vince Vaughn has a very vague connection with Minnesota, as he was born in Minneapolis and raised in Lake Forest, Ill. Vaughn has starred in movies such as “Hacksaw Ridge” and “Wedding Crashers.” Despite the little connection Vaughn has with the state, he has a star on the Minnesota Walk of Fame. In an interview with the Star Tribune, Vaughn said that he has “always felt a connection” with the Twin Cities and continues to visit the state any chance he gets.
