Herald readers submitted over 170 photos of what they saw before and after the dikes broke.

Over the past several weeks Herald readers have brought in dozens upon dozens of photos of their friends, families and homes from the 1997 flood.

Their photos show a resilient community that made it through a difficult time in its history.
