Drivers traveling on certain roads in northeastern North Dakota can expect a delay of up to 15 minutes due to chip seal work, according to an announcement by the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
The locations of the construction are:
North Dakota Highway 200 from Cooperstown to Jct Highway 32
Eastbound U.S. Highway 2 from near Jct Highway 18 to near the Grand Forks Air Force Base
Highway 18, from 3 miles north of U.S. Highway 2 to the Grand Forks and Walsh County line
The projects will likely be completed by mid-July.
During construction, flaggers and a pilot car will be directing traffic, drivers will have to reduce speed to 55 mph through the construction zone and be aware of oil and loose chips that may be present on the roadway.
Chip sealing repairs minor cracks and seals out water.
