Frost Fire Ski and Snowboard Area is ready for winter, they're just waiting on snow.
The ski and snowboard area in Walhalla, N.D., finished construction on their chairlift this month, which cost more than $1 million, according to General Manager Scott Rao.
The chairlift is from SkyTrac Lifts, based in Utah. It will take skiers, snowboarders and their equipment up the slope during the winter and take bikes up during the summer months.
Staff anticipate the recreation area will be open for skiing and snowboarding in mid-December, weather permitting.
Those wishing to visit should call ahead or check the website at www.frostfireskiarea.org to see if the ski and snowboard area is open.
