The Thanksgiving Day newspaper will hold hundreds of pages of Black Friday ads and weigh about 2 1/2 pounds. The edition will have 28 ad inserts highlighting local sales.

A typical Thursday paper weighs about 6 ounces in comparison. The Thanksgiving edition will cost $4 off the stand, but subscribers will not be charged extra.

For non-subscribers, the edition must be purchased at a store. It will not be available in the Herald's vending machines.
