Grand Forks' Veterans Memorial Park is getting a fresh influx of cash after a fundraising event in fall.

The Rydell Auto Center of Grand Forks raised more than $93,000 for the park at the 13th annual car and benefit bike show held Sept. 16.

The total included a $40,000 match from the Rydell family. The funds will be used for five granite obelisks to represent each branch of the military, said Veterans Memorial Park board member Gary Shields in a news release.

Rydell's next car and bike show is slated to take place Sept. 15, 2019, according to the auto dealer's website.
