The U.S. Small Business Administration selected Michael Gallagher as its district director for North Dakota.

Gallagher has served as the deputy district director of the SBA's North Dakota's office since November 2005. He has been responsible for the management and direction of staff and educating community lenders throughout the state on how to best access SBA resources.

As district director, he oversees staff in Fargo, Grand Forks and Bismarck.

Gallagher is a former business owner in Minot and Kenmare, N.D. He grew up in Minot and is a UND graduate.
