Grand Forks is fifth best place for veterans
Grand Forks was ranked fifth best place to live for veterans by Navy Federal Credit Union and Sperling’s BestPlaces.
Oklahoma City was ranked the best city to live after leaving the military.
The rankings are determined by analyzing factors such as general quality of life, veteran income rates and veteran unemployment rates. Navy Federal Credit Union is the world's largest credit union, according to a release from the company. The company serves active-duty service members and veterans, their family members and others.
Other highly ranked cities for veterans include the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area in Nebraska and Iowa, Colorado Springs and the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria metropolitan area, located in Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia.
