This season John Deere will complement its 2000 Twenty series with the new model 2720 small-chassis tractor, expanding the compact utility tractor family to 16 models. The 2000 Twenty series already includes the 2320 and 2520 models. The small-chassis tractors in the 2000 Twenty series are built for commercial-grade use, featuring 24 hp (2320 model), 26.5 hp (2520 model) and 30.5 hp (2720 model) EPA Tier II-compliant Yanmar diesel engines, standard Four-wheel Drive, best-in-class mower decks, and a variety of attachments. Their ease of use and versatility make these tractors equally ideal for homeowners.
"Our customers told us they need a compact, powerful, and versatile machine that can perform large mowing tasks as well as jobs that require loader and rear implement work" says John Arthur, John Deere Strategy Manager. "In response, John Deere added the 2720 tractor to our small-chassis lineup. This new tractor meets all of John Deere's standards for reliability, attach-ability, comfort, and ease of use."
The model 2720 has the highest power-to-weight ratio of any tractor in its class and provides premium features such as folding ROPS, standard cruise control, mid-PTO, OnRamp™ Mid-Mower Decks and Steering Brakes. Optional features include iMatch™ Quick Hitch for easy attachment and removal of rear implements and an independent lift system for the mid-mower deck.
A high-backed, suspended, and contoured seat is one of many comfort features on the 2720. The latest model also features power steering that provides optimum performance in all operating conditions and John Deere's ergonomic Twin Touch two-pedal foot control.
