After having been postponed due the coronavirus pandemic, a professional bull riding event will make its way to Grand Forks.

Athletes of the Professional Bull Rider’s Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour will come to the Alerus Center for a two-day event beginning on Friday, April 16. The event, dubbed the “Grand Forks Chute Out,” was originally scheduled as one night of bull riding, but an extra day has been added to the schedule.

Tickets can be purchased online at TicketMaster.com and PBRTix.com , by phone at 800-732-1727, and in person at Alerus Center Box Office. Prices range from $15 to $100.

Fans who purchased tickets for the 2020 event should have received a notification of a refund from their original point of purchase.

Bull riding fans who wish to upgrade their ticket purchase for either night can do so by selecting the “Elite Experience” add-on for $50, at PBR’s website . The ticket upgrade includes a question and answer presentation with some of the bull riders and stock contractors, an in-arena photo and souvenir credential and lanyard. Social distancing will be practiced at all times during the experience.

The event will follow several coronavirus mitigation measures. All PBR staff will undergo COVID-19 testing three days prior to the event. PBR staff will wear masks, and masks will be offered to attendees as they enter the Alerus Center. Social distancing will be encouraged at concessions and merchandise stands, restrooms and other high traffic areas.

Also, PBR will make use of “pod” seating, which means selling tickets in small groups, to minimize fan crossover and interaction.
