Gas prices in North Dakota rose faster than the national average last week, according to a gasoline price website.

The state's average retail gasoline prices rose 5.2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.37 a gallon Sunday, according to NorthDakotaGasPrices.com. Nationally, pump prices rose an average of 3.3 cents, to $3.47 a gallon, the website reported.

Including the North Dakota change during the past week, prices Sunday were 22.0 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and 13.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

Nationally, the average has increased 12.3 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 34.8 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago, the website reported.
