Harry’s Steakhouse in downtown Grand Forks has named Matt Walkowiak as its new general manager.

Walkowiak is the owner and president of Ground Round Grill & Bar, and he will continue in those two positions. Meanwhile, he has promoted Tabby Blooflat to general manager in his stead.

“I’m very excited for the opportunity provided by Hal and Kathy (Gershman, founders of Harry's Steakhouse) to help them bring back the ‘classic steakhouse’ experience to Grand Forks and the region,” Walkowiak said. “Since I began my restaurant career, I’ve always envisioned being involved in a project like this. It will be the pinnacle of my career. The thought and detail going into Harry’s will be a gift for all to enjoy for years to come.”

Harry's Steakhouse is still under construction and has not yet opened.
