Job Service ND to host first statewide virtual job fair
One hundred employers representing a variety of industries are expected to participate.
BISMARCK — Job Service North Dakota will host a Statewide Virtual Multi-Industry Job Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 19.
One hundred employers representing a variety of different industries are expected to participate. According to Job Service North Dakota, these employers are recruiting for high paying, rewarding jobs.
This is the first time the agency has held a statewide job fair.
According to the latest Online Job Openings Report, published May 4, 2022, there are 19,574 online job postings statewide. Healthcare Practitioners and Technical reported the largest number of job openings (3,139), followed by Transportation and Material Moving (1,556) and Office and Administrative Support (1,367). Eighteen occupational groups reported an over-the-year increase in job openings.
In a press release issued Thursday, May 12, Job Service North Dakota pointed out that even if all North Dakotans of working age were able to join the workforce tomorrow, the state would still have more job openings than residents. Thus, the agency encourages readers to share information about the event with family and friends with ties to the area. Partners from North Dakota Departments of Commerce, Tourism, and Parks and Recreation will be online to share information and access to all there is to see and do with job seekers.
The event is free and open to anyone with Internet access. For more information or to register, visit
