A couple who grew up in the Grand Forks area will start selling Herbalife products downtown.
Jake and Rebecca Peterson will open the Herbalife club at 311 DeMers Ave. The shop will feature nutritional shakes, meal replacement products and dietary supplements for weight management.
Jake Peterson is a co-owner of Evolve Nutrition and Training in Fargo, but he wanted to bring that concept to Grand Forks.
“The whole goal is to get everybody more active and healthier, too,” Jake Peterson said. “We want it to be a cool, comfortable atmosphere.

He wants to look into featuring a yoga studio at the location or form an outdoor fitness group, but for now he wants to get the Herbalife portion of the business up and running.
For now, the Petersons are using 1,000 square feet of the 3,000-square-foot space that once housed Daktyl Tattoo Gallery, which closed last winter. The Herbalife business is expected to open by early August.
