The Herald and the Grand Forks/East Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce are asking local businesses to provide their most updated business information for a segment that will regularly publish on the Herald's website, Grandforksherald.com.
The Herald's paywall has been taken down for coronavirus-related stories, which means readers are able to see those stories regardless of their subscription status. The result has been a historic influx of web traffic on the Herald's website from people seeking coronavirus news.
Businesses that wish to participate should send an email to businesshours@gfherald.com.
The following information will be published:
-Business name.
-City in which the business is located.
-Days of the week the business is open.
-Hours of operation.
-Basic information, such as "delivery only," "online ordering," "curbside pickup," "drive-through only" or "business as usual."
Even declaring that a business is temporarily closed can be useful for our readers.
The list will not include phone numbers, web addresses or specific information about specials or sales.
All information provided before noon each day will be included in the daily web post.
