A food giveaway will take place Friday in East Grand Forks.

The Northern Valley Labor Council, in partnership with the North Dakota AFL-CIO, the Red River Valley Building Trades Unions, and the Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation, will host the event at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at noon, Friday, April 16.

The address is 1515 Fifth Ave. NW in East Grand Forks.

Distribution will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. A semi will drop off 1,300 30-pound food boxes, as well as milk, which will be available to anyone. Those who attend can participate through a contactless drive-through pick-up in the designated parking lot.

Union volunteers and local labor leaders will be taking care of the food distribution and logistics for this event.
