A food giveaway is occurring in Grand Forks Thursday, April 22.
The Northern Valley Labor Council, in partnership with the North Dakota AFL-CIO, the Red River Valley Building Trades Unions, and the Saint Paul Regional Labor Federation, is hosting the free food giveaway at Sharon Lutheran Church (1720 South 20th Street, Grand Forks).
The event starts at noon.
Distribution will be done on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. A semi will drop off 1,300 30-pound food boxes, as well as milk, which will be available to anyone through a contactless drive-through pick-up in the designated parking lot.
Union volunteers and local labor leaders will be taking care of the food distribution and logistics for this event.
