Jane Moss, owner of the Boardwalk Bar and Grill in East Grand Forks, prepares to open the restaurant Thursday, defying Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's executive order that closed Minnesota bars and restaurants to dine-in customers through Dec. 18. Jane Moss, who owns East Grand Forks restaurant Boardwalk Bar and Grill, will appear on a national morning television show early on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Moss will appear on Fox and Friends at 5:15 a.m. Central Standard Time. The announcement was made on the social media page of ReOpen Minnesota Coalition , a group that is working to oppose Gov. Tim Walz’s peacetime emergency powers. Moss confirmed her appearance to the Herald in a Tuesday evening phone call.

Moss is being sued by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison for defying a gubernatorial order issued on Nov. 18 that disallows dine-in service at bars and restaurants and shuttered other entertainment venues. That order is set to expire on Dec. 18, but could be renewed by Walz. Boardwalk’s liquor license has also been temporarily suspended, after she reopened her business on Dec. 9, and kept it open until Dec. 12.
