A Drayton, N.D., man was injured Saturday night when the car he was driving ran into the back of a farm truck that had stopped, waiting to turn into a field west of Drayton, which is about 50 miles north of Grand Forks.
According to the state Highway Patrol, Corey Morlock, 29, Bismarck, was driving a 2003 Sterling triple-axle farm truck west on state Highway 66, about 5 miles west of Drayton at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
Morlock was stopped, waiting to turn left across the eastbound lane, into a field when a westbound 1993 Buick driven by Jeremy Behm, 37, Drayton, hit the left rear corner of the truck box.
Both vehicles ended up on the field approach on the south side of the highway. Behm was taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks with minor injuries; Morlock was not injured.
Morlock said he had his turn signal on, the Patrol said. It was not known if Behm was wearing a seat belt.
