AE2S Nexus, the financial division of AE2S (Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.) has hired Caroline Colborn as a Financial Analyst Assistant in the firm's Grand Forks' office. She brings eight years of experience in capital investment analysis in project engineering to AE2S.

One of Colborn's first tasks has been working on AE2S' Annual North Central Utility Rate Survey, a survey of water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste utility rates throughout the region. The information from these rate surveys is distributed to survey participants to use in their rate planning. "Utility and Finance Managers use data from the rate survey to discuss rates with government decision makers and other constituents, and they've told us the survey is a very useful tool," Colborn says. "I'm thrilled to be joining AE2S as we conduct the survey for 2012."

Previously, Colborn worked at General Mills in Chanhassen, Minnesota, supporting a food manufacturing facility engineering team. She has been trained in Depreciation Expense Tracking and Fixed Asset Management.

Originally from St. Paul, MN, Coburn earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Hamline University.

Colborn lives in Crookston, Minnesota, with her husband, Wes; daughter, Brianna; and son, Brandon.
