Dip your toes into entrepreneurship by participating in the Chamber of Commerce's fourth Shark Tank event.
The Shark Tank will take place 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 1 in the Empire Arts Center.
Participants have one minute to make their pitch, after which the "sharks" will ask questions and offer advice, said Chamber CEO and President Barry Wilfahrt. The Chamber will select 10 candidates to enter "the tank."
The first place winner will get $750, second place wins $500, and the person who finishes third will get $250.
The sharks will be co-owner of Rhombus Pizza Matt Winjum; Phil Gisi, owner of Edgewood Management Group; Tommy Kenville, owner of ISight RPV Services and T-Global Inc.; and owner of the Northend Dairy Queen, Jenny Kuhns.

The top three teams who participate in UND's Red River Valley Business Plan Competition automatically get to participate in the Shark Tank event, according to UND marketing professor Rob Warren.
The Shark Tank event is free and open to the public. There will be pizza and a cash bar at the event, Wilfahrt said.
