Owned and operated by Kati Langlie, Home Sweet Home Care provides a number of services to individuals who need extra help to live independently. GFK Flight support design earns awards

JLG Architects and GW & Sons Construction were presented with a 2009 Excellence in Design Award by American Buildings for the design and construction of the GFK Flight Support facility at Grand Forks International Airport.

The design earned first place in the Transportation Division for projects in the United States and Canada.

Arctic Cat makes Russell 3000 Index

Arctic Cat has been added to the Russell 3000 Index, as well as the Russell 2000 and Russell Microcap indexes.

The Russell Index takes the 4,000 largest U.S. stocks and ranks them by total market capitalization to create the Russell 3000. The largest 1,000 companies in the ranking comprise the Russell 1000 while the remaining 2,000 companies become the widely used Russell 2000. The Microcap includes the smallest 1,000 companies in the Russell 2000 plus the next 1,000 companies.

Nearly $4 trillion in assets are benchmarked to the Russell indexes, used by investment managers for index funds.

Stadter Center expands treatment

The Richard P. Stadter Psychiatric Center in Grand Forks added a residential treatment program for adults and adolescents with chemical dependency, according to a news release.

The new program will provide 24-hour supervision. The length of stay for the new treatment is based on individual need. Patients will continue to have access to dual diagnosis treatment to address coexisting mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety.

Bremer reports second-quarter earnings

Bremer Financial Corporation reported net income of $15.6 million for the three months ended June 30, an increase of 13.2 percent for the second quarter of 2009.

On a year-to-date basis, net income was $37 million, up 8.9 percent, and return on equity was 8.4 percent, compared with 7.9 percent in 2009.

Net interest income was $69 million, up 4.8 percent, and net interest margin was 4.01 percent, compared with 3.86 percent in 2009; year-to-date was up .2 percent.
