Terry Welander has joined the staff at Widseth Smith Nolting with more than 25 years of electrical engineering experience. He is a licensed professional engineer in Minnesota and California. At WSN, Welander is responsible for preparing quantity and cost estimates, interpreting plans/specifications, reviewing shop drawings and manuals, conducting on-site observation and resolving routine construction administration issues.
Schrader joins Widseth Smith Nolting
Alex Schrader has joined the architecture department of Widseth Smith Nolting's Grand Forks office. She received a bachelor of architecture and a master of architecture from North Dakota State University. As a designer for WSN, Schrader is responsible for assisting project architects, preparing and presenting proposal estimates, reviewing construction budgets, assisting with construction documents, responding to bid inquiries, assisting in construction administration and documenting projects. She is also involved in programming, preliminary field measurement, design development, working drawings, building code review and construction budget analysis.
Hessie accepts position at Altru

Gordon Hessie has accepted the position of director of radiology and imaging services at Altru Health Systems in Grand Forks. In this role, Hessie will be responsible for the oversight of all imaging services and will work with operations managers and radiologists on further development and growth in his department. He has worked in health care for 20 years. He has a background in nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography, MRI and densitometry. Hessie also holds a master of business administration through California Coast University in Santa Ana, Calif., as well as Six Sigma designation.
