Chris Sims’ Team Joins Forward Mortgage
Fargo, ND February 2022 — Chris Sims, one of the Region’s Top Mortgage Loan Originators, has joined Forward Mortgage as the Director of Growth/Mortgage Broker.
Chris joins along with his loan processing partner, Courtney Sims of Minot, ND. “We are excited to make a home with Forward Mortgage and the JSE Family of Companies,” says Chris. We will assist Forward Mortgage with growth and expansion throughout our region as well as continuing to grow my personal loan production business. Our goal at Forward Mortgage is to always make the loan process simple from application to closing, educate our customers throughout the home buying journey, and ensure they feel comfortable in their chosen loan program.” says Sims.
Chris and Courtney together have helped over 500 families purchase and refinance their homes in the last 3 years for an overall loan volume in excess of $118 million. Chris is in the top 2% of the Fargo-Moorhead area and does business from Minot, ND to the Twin Cities area. “We cover the entire states of ND and MN and do not need to be in your city to assist in finding you an amazing loan program.”

Chris is from Grand Forks, ND and has been a Loan Originator for over 3 years, with consistent year over year growth. He also has experience in Real Estate, Business Ownership, Security and Law Enforcement, and lives in Fargo with his wife Jessica and is a proud father of three daughters and a son.
Courtney grew up in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, and currently lives in Minot, ND with her husband Jon, of the US Air Force, and their two children. She has an Administrative Assistant degree and worked as an assistant/transaction coordinator in real estate in California when her family was stationed there. Upon moving back to Minot, she has worked in the mortgage industry. “Courtney has been an amazing business partner for the last 2 years and I’m thrilled we get to continue our partnership at Forward Mortgage. I couldn’t do the level of business I do without her support and expertise,” says Chris. “She brings positive unity to a growing company’s culture and is very proactive working for the best interests of the clients ensuring a smooth, on-time closing.”
Chris and Courtney join the growing team at Forward Mortgage that started in 2018 with Chad Skarperud, one of Fargo’s top producing loan originators with more than 23 years of experience, along with Cliff Christianson who started in with Forward in 2021. The growing originator team and their clients are supported by Sandra Trejo and Sonya Hansen and together, Forward Mortgage is expanding to locations in ND and MN continuing to grow its services and client base.
