American Crystal Promotes Thorfinnson

Grant Thorfinnson has been promoted to Environmental Compliance Supervisor at American Crystal Sugar Company’s East Grand Forks factory.

In this new role, Thorfinnson will be the primary factory contact for all environmental agencies and be responsible for the annual reporting to state agencies. An employee since 2018, he most recently held the position of Environmental Technician I. Thorfinnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of North Dakota.

American Crystal is a grower-owned cooperative and the nation’s largest beet sugar producer with operating facilities in Moorhead, Crookston, and East Grand Forks, Minnesota; Hillsboro and Drayton, North Dakota; and Sidney, Montana.
