American Crystal promotes Harris to Senior Control System Engineer


William Harris has accepted a Senior Control Systems Engineer position at American Crystal Sugar Company’s East Grand Forks factory.

In this position, Harris will utilize his knowledge and expertise to effectively maintain and advance the control systems we use at American Crystal. He‘ll focus on our current automation of factory operations to optimize sugar recovery and reduce processing costs.

Harris has a degree in Electrical Engineering from North Dakota State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Mayville State University. He has been with American Crystal since 2015 as the Controls System Engineer and brings more than 12 years of experience to this role.

American Crystal is a grower-owned cooperative and the nation’s largest beet sugar producer with operating facilities in Moorhead, Crookston, and East Grand Forks, Minnesota; Hillsboro and Drayton, North Dakota; and Sidney, Montana.
