Barry Wilfarht, president and chief executive officer of the Chamber Grand Forks/East Grand Forks, has begun his term on the Minnesota Chamber Board as a Minnesota Chamber of Commerce executives representative. The volunteer Board represents businesses of all types and sizes across Minnesota and sets the public policy agenda to improve Minnesota’s business climate. It also shapes the Chamber’s COVID-19 recovery efforts during and after the pandemic to help Minnesota businesses endure and succeed.

Valley Senior Living, Grand Forks, has named Gina Roller as administrator of Valley Senior Living on 42nd. She has been part of Valley Senior Living for over 10 years, most recently as the administrator of Valley Transitions at Valley Senior Living on Columbia.

Emma Young has joined Widseth as a civil engineer in training after having served as a summer intern since 2019. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Widseth is a multi-discipline firm of more than 200 employees providing engineering, architecture, land surveying and environment services, with offices in East Grand Forks and Grand Forks, as well as other cities in Minnesota.

Altru Health System has announced the hiring of two orthopedic providers, Jessica Shin, MD, and Andrew (Drew) Toftoy, M, to Altru Advanced Orthopedics. They both started Jan. 4 and specialize in sports medicine. They each have extensive sports team experience at the high school and college levels and beyond, including professional experience with the Utah Jazz (Shin) and Colorado Avalanche hockey team (Toftoy).
