Scott Dodson joins KBM GeoSpatial
Scott Dodson, CP, has joined KBM GeoSpatial, Grand Forks, a subsidiary of Widseth Smith Nolting, as the aerial services manager. He will lead the aerial services team and will be responsible for estimating, project management, scheduling, staff training, final reviews and new technology research and recommendations. Dodson brings more than 35 years of experience in all disciplines of topographic and digital imagery collection, including aerial camera manufacturing, calibration and drone prototype design for proof of concept.
Courtney Moore, LS, of Widseth Smith Nolting passes exams, becomes licensed land surveyor
Courtney Moore, LS, of Widseth Smith Nolting, East Grand Forks, has passed the required exams and met the education and experience required to become a licensed land surveyor by the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design. He has been with WSN since 2013.
ICON Architectural Group hires Cassie Scheving
ICON Architectural Group has hired Cassie Scheving as the Director of Corporate and Legal Services. She is a graduate of UND, with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, as well as a J.D. from the UND Law School. Scheving is a member of the Grand Forks County Bar Association, the Randy H. Lee American Inns of Court and is president of the Northern Plains Chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. Originally from East Grand Forks, she has over eight years of experience operating a law firm.

First Community Credit Union GF branch completes remodel
A grand opening was held May 20-24 at First Community Credit Union on 32nd Avenue, Grand Forks, in celebration of its completed building remodel. The remodel features a more modern space, along with a conference room, more offices for staff, a transformation of the teller line and a remodeled main entrance. The Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting May 21.
ND Community Foundation elects directors, officers
The North Dakota Community Foundation, a public, non-profit tax-exempt corporation which receives and distributes charitable funds across North Dakota, has named new directors and officers to its board. Serving a three-year term is Chantel Southam of Mohall. Serving one-year terms as officers are Chair Mike Killoran, retired CFO and Senior Lending Officer of First State Bank of ND, Casselton; Vice Chair Vicki Kunz, Insurance Risk Manager at MDU Resources Group, Inc., Bismarck; and Secretary/Treasurer Tim Ottmar, attorney and partner at Ottmar & Ottmar PC, Jamestown. Joining the officers on the executive committee are Justin Forde, Director of Public Affairs for Midco, Argusville; and Chris Griffin, Red River Land Company, Grand Forks. Board members receive no financial compensation for their service and can serve two three-year terms and then must leave the board.
