Anne Carlsen is pleased to announce that Sarah Fuchs has been selected at the new Vice President for the East Region. Sarah has a Masters in Nursing from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota. Prior to joining Anne Carlsen in 2016, she was an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Jamestown for 12 years. Sarah has served in multiple roles at Anne Carlsen, most recently serving as the Operations Manager of the East Region Behavioral and Mental Health services. She is also a 2020 graduate of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber Leadership Program.
Patricia R. Monson, Owner & Principal of the Center for Mediation & Consultation, PLLC, in Fargo has again been selected to the Great Plains Super Lawyer list in the areas of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Employment Law. Monson has worked as a qualified neutral in both Minnesota and North Dakota and has over 43 years of experience practicing in the areas of employment law, civil litigation and railroad defense litigation.
AE2S announces the addition of Zac Ranisate and Matt Bradley as EITs at the civil and environmental consulting engineering firm. They will work on projects across the upper Midwest and Rocky Mountain region.
Widseth named Chris Jordheim the new manager for its Grand Forks office, effective July 1, 2022. Jordheim succeeds Greg Boppre, who will continue as a vice president and civil engineer with the firm.

Long-time architectural planner and education consultant Rod Schumacher has joined Minnesota architectural and engineering firm Widseth. Schumacher brings more than 30 years of expertise in developing projects that are driven by clients’ goals and visions, while ensuring his clients enjoy a productive and rewarding experience.
Kaeko Leitch has joined Widseth as a vice president in the firm and manager of the firm’s Mankato office. With a focus on strategic operations and innovation, Leitch will oversee efforts to optimize operational efficiency, performance, and staff development to align with objectives laid out in the firm’s strategic plan. Licensed in both mechanical and electrical engineering, Leitch has deep experience in professional and technical services and will be closely involved in recruiting and training engineers, technicians, and designers.
Kevin Hatcher has joined the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation (EDC) as its Business Development Officer. Hatcher will develop and implement strategies to support primary sector business recruitment and expansion in Grand Forks County. Hatcher will work with community leaders to attract new businesses and promote an environment that supports existing businesses in the region.

AE2S announces the addition of Alizjah Swenson as a Marketing Coordinator at the civil and environmental consulting engineering firm’s Grand Forks office. In her new role, Swenson will manage the AE2S social media channels and provide graphic design services for the firm’s marketing efforts. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree from the University of North Dakota.
Marie Jensen has joined the Community Violence Intervention Center (CVIC) as Director of Communications. She will be instrumental in advancing the organization’s work to end violence in the Grand Forks region, developing communication strategies and strengthening CVIC’s connection to the community and reaching those in need of CVIC services.
Frandsen Bank & Trust Grand Forks market president Bernie Knutson announced that Derek Beaudry has been hired as an ag/business banker, and that Megan Gjelsness has been promoted to a personal banker.
Burian & Associates recently welcomed Kyle McCamy to their Fargo office as the Director of the Land Development Team. Kyle brings nearly two decades of civil engineering expertise with a focus on land development and site design projects. He has experience working with both public and private clients, where he has managed projects spanning multiple sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, office, and educational.

Vicki Schlenker, CPA, is joining Anne Carlsen as the new Controller. Ms. Schlenker has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with a Minor in Computer Science from North Dakota State University. She has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and finance in both for profit and non profit organizations in the Fargo area. Included with her interest in accounting, she has interests in financial analysis, information technology, software and office administration. Ms. Schlenker will be responsible for Controller interests across the state for Anne Carlsen.
