AE2S (Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.) has hired Carl Johnson as a Student Intern in its Eagan, MN office. Originally from Vadnais Heights, MN, Carl will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota this fall. Carl's Senior Design project consists of building an ozone spectrometer for measuring the ozone concentration in the upper atmosphere. The spectrometer will be launched in June in Virginia via the NASA funded RockSat-C program.
Prior to interning at AE2S, Carl worked for the City of Lino Lakes, MN as a Utilities Worker. Carl also served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC), where he was an Aircraft Navigation and Communication Systems Technician. He is the recipient of the USMC Global War on Terror Medal and the Presidential Unit Citation.
At AE2S, Carl will assist AE2S' Electrical and Instrumentation and Controls Groups on a variety of projects, including sizing generators, reviewing shop drawings, running lighting design software, running electrical system analysis software, and assisting with other aspects of project design.
