Muddy Rivers Bar & Grill has closed its doors.
The restaurant and event space, located inside the Townhouse Hotel on First Avenue North, suddenly closed its doors sometime last week. The restaurant was scheduled to have events there as early as August, which sent some guests scrambling to make changes.
“We were supposed to meet last Wednesday, and I showed up and I noticed there was a ‘sorry we're closed’ (sign) on the bar door,” said Jenn Harmon, who was scheduled to have her wedding reception there on Aug. 1.
Harmon, when contacted by the Herald, said the hotel manager told her the restaurant was closed.
A staff member confirmed the closure to the Herald in an afternoon phone call on Monday, July 27. After doing so, the staff member said there was no comment.
Harmon said she has since made other arrangements, including a location, and catering.
“We're back on,” she said.
