The results are in for the North Dakota Grocers Association’s annual convention held at the Alerus Center on Sept. 8-10.

There were several categories to the varying competitions, and multiple winners were announced.

In the category of Floral Design, Carly Bosworth, from Hornbacker’s in Fargo, took first place. Second place went to Kaylee Verzosa at Hugo’s Family Marketplace in Grand Forks. The People's Choice Award went to Kelly Shellito, from Family Fare in West Fargo.

In the live competition for Cake Sculpture, Emily Hicks took first place for Marketplace Foods in Minot, second place went to Stephanie Grondahl, also form Marketplace Foods, and third place was awarded to Darla Julin at Hornbachers in Moorhead.

In the Smoked Meat competition, Barry Zietz, of Krause’s SuperValu in Hazen, N.D., won for his snack sticks. Steve Roman, of Hornbacher’s at the Gateway West location in Fargo, came in second for his ring bologna. Matt Miller of Miller’s located in New Rockford, N.D., came in third for his bratwurst. The People’s Choice award went to Krause’s SuperValue.
