Menke launches Acres & Shares, LLC
Jayson Menke, a land and beet stock specialist, has launched a new company, Acres & Shares, LLC. The niche market for the company will be farmland and American Crystal Sugar Company beet stock brokerage. He previously worked for Botsford Qualey Land Company and Farmers National Company and has become an experienced land broker in eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. He was also president and CEO of FNC Ag Stock, LLC and prior to that was head of the Alerus Securities Ag Stock division. NCTC employees recognized
Employees of Northland Community & Technical College were recognized for outstanding work at the 2018 CFO Annual Conference held this week at the Minnesota State system office in St. Paul. Michelle Bakken, business manager, and Kari Connor, retail coordinator, were recognized for outstanding service coordinating Northland's bookstore conversion.
Cherney achieves membership in MDRT
Wayne Cherney, a field agent with Knights of Columbus Insurance, serving the Devils Lake and surrounding area, has achieved qualifying and life membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the Premier Association of Financial Professionals. He is a 23 year member of MDRT.
Altru new hires, promotions
Altru Health System, Grand Forks, welcomes recent new hires to its organization and is also proud to announce several promotions. Daniel Scrimshaw, DO, joins the emergency medicine team and his special practices and procedures include adult and pediatric trauma and critical care, intubation and airway management, cardioversion and more. Roberta Young is the Associate Chief Nursing Officer and will provide clinical leadership for several inpatient areas and service lines.
Three individuals have been promoted. Derek Goebel, with Altru for over eight years, is now the manager of decision support and budget and will coordinate the overall operating and capital budget process for the organization. Rosemary Kalenze has been promoted to manager of pharmacy services, which include Altru Retail Pharmacy, Altru Family Medicine Residency Pharmacy and the Home Infusion Pharmacy. She has been with Altru since 2013. Sam McEntee has been promoted to manager of regional therapy. She will provide oversight of staffing, budget and contract agreements for regional therapy, which staffs over 85 members and provides services to over 22 locations within a 110-mile radius or Grand Forks. She has been with Altru for eight years.
ND Corn Growers name industry directors
The North Dakota Corn Growers Association (NDCGA) named three new industry directors and their terms began July 1, 2018. Ryan Bohnsack, Hillsboro, N.D., is an ag and business banker at American Federal Bank, and he also farms near Hillsboro. Kyle Gerner, Oakes, N.D., owns and operates an ag retail business. Jeff Triebold, Oriska, N.D., works for Prairieland Ag. They will join existing industry director Tom Cook of Sabin, Minn., and they will keep the NDCGA board of directors up to date and informed of issues throughout the corn industry.
